Commenting on the launch of nursing college, Moopen said, “We are happy to announce the opening of DM WIMS Nursing College in our Wayanad campus. This is aimed at meeting the growing demand for qualified nursing professionals in India and abroad. Due to the evolving demands of the nursing profession, it is crucial that we offer relevant degree options for graduates to be relevant in the healthcare industry.”

“We have set up separate building infrastructure and academic facilities to run the nursing college. Our academic priority is to develop the next generation of nurses to lead the change in healthcare industry and foster innovation in practice settings. We have long-term strategic plans to constantly monitor and deliver our objectives without dilution of standards in any way. This will ensure that pursuit of excellence remains constant in our plans,” he added.

“Our focus is on preparing the nursing professionals to meet the growing needs of the healthcare system by expanding students' knowledge base, comprehension, and clinical expertise. Upon the successful completion of the course, the graduates will be provided with guidance and assistance in finding suitable placements in the growing healthcare industry in India and beyond,” Moopen further said.

Located in the serene backdrop of Wayanad in Kerala, DM WIMS is the first ‘green concept’ medical campus in India with a multi-specialty and emergency care 385-bed teaching hospital and referral centre in the first phase.
