'I didn't feel a thing', says US Vice President Mike Pence after receiving Covid-19 vaccine shot
Washington/IBNS: United States Vice President Mike Pence on Friday received a Covid-19 vaccine shot in a live television appearance in an attempt to boost public confidence about its effectiveness.
He along with his wife Karen Pence was given the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
Soon after being injected with the vaccine at the White House, Pence said: "I didn't feel a thing. Well done."
He had earlier called the vaccine development in America as 'Historic Medical Achievement.'
"The development and manufacturing of a vaccine typically takes 8-12 years but under Operation Warp Speed, we have done it in 8-12 months and we are on track to deliver MILLIONS of doses before the end of December! This is a Medical Miracle!" Pence tweeted on Thursday.

Though US President Donald Trump was absent for the vaccine shot on Friday, he had earlier taken credit for the speedy development of the vaccine against the deadly virus which has claimed 300,000 lives in his country.
Meanwhile, he has thanked FedEX and UPS for the prompt delivery of the vaccines across the country.
THANK YOU to the GREAT men and women of @FedEx and @UPS for driving through the storms this week to deliver millions of doses of the vaccine across the country. Two Great American Companies!

Trump himself earlier stated that he is not planning to take the vaccine imminently, citing that his recovery from a brief but severe bout of Covid has given him immunity, media reports said.
"He will receive the vaccine as soon as his medical team determines it's best. But his priority is frontline workers, those in long-term care facilities," White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, however, told media.
President-elect Joe Biden is expected to receive the vaccine as soon as next week, a transition official told NBC News.
"I don't want to get ahead of the line, but I want to make sure we demonstrate to the American people that it is safe to take," Biden told reporters.
The first shipments of the vaccine were delivered to health care facilities across the US earlier this week.
The deadly novel coronavirus has infected more than 16.3 million in the US alone.
