India records 31,222 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi; India registered 31,222 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

Giving light of hope, more than 1.13 crore vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

Active cases account for 1.19% of total cases.

India's Active caseload stands at 3,92,864.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.48%.

42,942 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.

India witnessed a deadly second wave of the COVID-19 virus when the spike in cases left hospitals and oxygen supply challenged.

The burial ground and crematoriums were overwhelmed due to rise in deaths due to the viral disease.
