India records over 20,000 COVID-19 cases for yet another day

New Delhi: India witnessing a daily surge as  20,038 fresh COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

During the same period, 47 people died due to the viral infection.

The daily COVID positivity rate now stands at 4.44 percent.

India's Active caseload currently stands at 1,39,073.

Active cases stand at 0.32 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.48 percent.

16,994 people recovered from the disease during the same period.
