India registers 25,467 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours
New Delhi: India recorded 25,467 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours amid fears that a third wave of the pandemic may hit the nation soon.
Officials said during the last 24 hours, 354 people died due to the highly infectious virus.
The death toll due to the disease now stands at 435110.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases.
It currently stands at 0.98 percent. It is the lowest figure since March 2020.
India's recovery rate increases to 97.68 percent, as per data released by the Ministry of Health.
39,486 recoveries in the last 24 hours increases Total Recoveries to 3,17,20,112.
