India registers 26,115 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, active cases lowest in six months
New Delhi: India, a nation which witnessed a deadly second wave of the pandemic this year, registered 26,115 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Tuesday.
252 people died due to the deadly virus, which is believed to have originated from China, in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 445385.
Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases.
It currently stands at 0.92 percent which is lowest since March 2020.
India's active caseload stands at 3,09,575.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.75 percent.
34,469 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hour.
Meanwhile,ย 81.85 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
