India registers 2,927 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, PM Modi to interact with CMs to review situation

New Delhi: India registered 2,927 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as the daily positivity rate touched 0.58 percent, according to data released by the Ministry of  Health on Wednesday.

During the same period, 32 people died due to the deadly virus.

India's active caseload currently stands at 16,279.

Active cases stand at 0.04 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.75 percent.

2,252 people recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi will chair a meeting with Chief Ministers to review the COVID-19 situation of the country on Wednesday.

The PM tweeted: " At 12 noon tomorrow, 27th April, will be interacting with state Chief Ministers to review the COVID-19 situation."
