India registers 45,083 new COVID infections, active cases continue to drop

New Delhi/IBNS: India added 45,083 new COVID infections in the last 24 hours taking the country's active caseload to 3,68,558, the Union Health Ministry said in its daily bulletin on Sunday.

 At present, the Asian country's active cases account for 1.13% of total infection.

The recovery rate currently stands at 97.53 percent with 35,840 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours.

The Weekly Positivity Rate is 2.28%, which is less than 3% for the last 65 days.

The daily positivity rate is at 2.57%, also less than 3% for the last 34 days.

Meanwhile, more than 73.8 lakh doses of vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours.

Till date, 63.09 crore vaccine doses have been administered countrywide under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
