India reports 1,660 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, toll shoots up by 4,100 with Maharashtra, Kerala backlog

New Delhi/IBNS: In a continuous decline in coronavirus cases, India reported 1,660 COVID-19 cases while the toll went up by 4,100 courtesy the backlog numbers added by two states, Maharashtra and Kerala, in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry stated on Saturday.

In the same period of time, 2,349 recoveries from the disease have been reported from various states and union territories in the country.

The recovery rate now stands at 98.75%.

The active cases now stand at 16,741, which forms 0.04% of the total cases.

So far in the country, 182.87 crore anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the national vaccination drive.
