India reports 18,930 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: A total of 18,930 new infections of Covid-19 were recorded in India, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,35,66,739 while the overall toll rose to 5,25,305 as 35 more succumbed to the disease.

On the other hand, 14,650 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,29,21,977. The recovery rate stands at 98.52%.

The active caseload stands at 1,19,457, the ministry data showed.

As per the bulletin, 86.53 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 198.33 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
