India reports 2,828 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI/IBNS: India registered 2,828 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.

As per the bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,31,53,043, while the death toll rose to 5,24,586 as 14 more succumbed to the disease.

A total of 2,035 people recuperated from the disease, taking the tally to 4,26,11,370. The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.

The active caseload currently stands at 17,087, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 84.97 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 193.28 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
