Leander Paes unveils Ben Nevis's new healthcare programme for senior sportspersons
Kolkata/IBNS: Olympian Leander Paes and his father Dr Vece Paes have recently unveiled Ben Nevis Diagnostic Center's new healthcare programme for senior members of the sporting community.
Pronab Dasgupta, who is Ben Nevis founder and current President of East Bengal Football Club and Past President of Calcutta Cricket & Football Club, said, "We understand that healthcare costs are constantly on the rise and felt the need to provide discounts on a wide range of investigations for our senior sport persons."
Arnab Dasgupta, Managing Director of Ben Nevis, said that the introduction of a privilege card is our way of thanking the sporting community.
He said, "This card will provide substantial discounts of up to 50% on a wide range of investigations that are specifically targeted towards the sporting community."
This means that individuals who hold the privilege card will be able to access important investigations and tests at significantly reduced rates.
The sporting community as a whole can benefit from these investigations, as they can help to identify potential issues or injuries and enable athletes to take proactive measures to maintain their health and wellbeing.
The privilege card, therefore, represents a significant opportunity for members of the sporting community to access important medical services at affordable rates, which is likely to have a positive impact on their overall performance and wellbeing.
Dr. Vece Paes and his son, tennis star Leander Paes, both expressed their enthusiasm for its potential benefits of this initiative.
Leander spoke about the importance his family placed on preventive medicine, and he also highlighted the significance of physiotherapy in maintaining muscle strength as the body ages. However, he noted that the cost of physiotherapy can be a barrier for many people, which is a concern.
In this context, Leander expressed his appreciation for Ben Nevis, which is taking up the challenge of making physiotherapy more accessible and affordable.
Dr. K.N. Siddiqui, a well-known cardiologist associated with Ben Nevis, emphasized the importance of unbiased medical advice for patients seeking solutions to their health concerns.
Ben Nevis emphasized the significance of preventive medicine in maintaining good health beyond the age of 60 years and recommended that individuals undergo a comprehensive annual health check-up to monitor their overall wellbeing.
