Manipur : Screening of Novel Coronavirus stepped up along Indo-Myanmar border
Guwahati/IBNS: In view of the recent outbreak of Coronavirus in China, which may result in infiltration of the virus through the border, the Manipur government and Myanmar government have stepped up screening of Coronavirus in the all bordering entrance and check posts.
The Manipur government on January 28 had issued an order (No. 1/Esst/SDHM-16) and deputed several officers of the state health department for screening any person both foreigners and Indians who are coming to India after travelling from China and adjacent countries for fever at gate number 1 and 2 along Indo-Myanmar border.
On the other hand, Myanmar government has also passed an order to conduct screening of Novel CoronaVirus/NCOB-2019 at all the bordering state's entrance and check posts.
Following the order, three teams comprising with one doctor, one female nurse and one male nurse of Tamu district Hospital under Myanmar medical department have started its screening of Novel Coronavirus using Infrared Thermometer at Indo-Myanmar Friendship gate number 1 and 2.
The Moreh Sub-Divisional medial teams have also started screening of Novel Coronavirus along the Indo-Myanmar border.
The Novel CoronaVirus/NCOB-2019/ Wuhan Virus Outbreak all over the South East Asian countries, Australia, United States, France and even in few states of India.
