Mission Hospital celebrates foundation day
Kolkata, Apr 4 (IBNS): The Mission Hospital, Durgapur on Thursday celebrated it's 6th Foundation Day along with patients who had found a new lease of life post- treatment, here at the Hotel Hindustan International.
Present at the event was Dr. Satyajit Bose, Chairman, the Mission Hospital, Durgapur.
Sonam Dema from Bhutan, a patient of rheumatic mitral valve disease got her mitral valve repaired that saved her from permanently losing her pregnancy capabilities.
Her cousin Sonam Joshi who was present at the event said she was returning with a smile.
Pramila Sanghvi got emotional while ushering blessings for the hospital staff. A resident of Chennai, she was not assured successful treatments in renowned hospitals of South India, but as she had undergone a successful bypass surgery, she’s at a loss of words for the treatment given to her.
Khwaja Nadeem from Multan, Pakistan, traumatized after listening to his son’s bleak chances of survival, announced by the cardiac surgeons there, rushed his 5 year old son Anas Nadeem to get operated in the hospital on Mar 31 and is heaping praise for the same.
Jahid-ul-Aalam from Bangladesh who had one of his relatives admitted in this hospital earlier, had himself undergone open heart surgery by Dr. Bose and now, has admitted his uncle Abdul Nur Salam having a diffused coronary artery disease.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bose said that within six years, the Mission Hospital has minimized the dominance of South Indian states in medical treatment.
He said that the Mission Hospital, made by doctors, provide in-campus doctor attention where patients have a doctor to attend themselves in as fast as twenty seconds.
He noted that the government has allotted eight districts under the hospital’s supervision under the ‘Shishu Shathi Prokolpo’ and within three months, about 150 operations have been successfully done at the hospital, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed before each operation to assure transparency.
He stated that the effective basic workforce in human connection in the hospital has worked wonders where satisfied patients return and serve as a market force for the same.
He added that a cancer unit of the hospital is to be launched tentatively on Akshay Tritiya, with 150 beds and an investment limit of 100-120 crores.
