Assam/Dimapur: A dedicated doctor couple has introduced a cutting-edge CT scan machine at their laboratory in Dimapur, Nagaland. The inauguration of the GE Revolution ACTS 32 slice CT scan machine took place at the Apex Diagnostic Clinic and Research Center, graced by former parliamentary secretary Wochumo Kithan on Saturday.
During the event, Wochumo Kithan emphasized the importance of staying up-to-date with the latest developments in medical testing, encouraging the doctor couple to keep abreast of advancements in the field.
Dr. Worshim Khamrang, a radiologist (DMRD) from Madras Medical College, Chennai, and his wife Dr. Lumbeni Kithan, an MD in microbiology from Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore, established the lab in April 2022.
Dr. Khamrang proudly stated that their clinic now houses one of the finest CT scan machines in Dimapur, being only the second facility in the city to possess such advanced technology.
The Apex Diagnostic Clinic and Research Center has rapidly gained recognition as a premier diagnostic hub in Dimapur, thanks to its comprehensive range of testing facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. Remarkably, the laboratory boasts not only a radiologist and a microbiologist but also two pathologists.
Dr. Khamrang also highlighted that their clinic stands out for having a microbiologist perform culture and sensitivity tests, whereas it's typically done by pathologists in other labs.
Aside from the 32-slice CT scan machine, the clinic offers an array of services, including ultrasound, X-ray, ultrasound-guided interventions, culture and sensitivity tests, blood tests, routine screenings, master health check-ups, and OPD consultations.
To ensure efficient service, emergency reports are delivered within an hour, while all other reports are made available within 24 hours. The doctor couple earnestly hopes that these clinical test reports will serve the people of Dimapur effectively, and they urge the community to take full advantage of the advanced facilities available at the Apex Diagnostic Clinic and Research Center.
