Pakistan: COVID-19 positivity rate crosses 8 percent for first time in 2 months
Islamabad: Pakistan's COVID-19 positivity rate has now touched 8.4 per cent, a major spike in the past couple of months.
In the period of the past two months, the positivity rate has crossed 8 percent for the first time.
The last time the country reported a similarly high positivity rate was on May 19 when it was recorded at 8.2pc, reports Dawn News.
Nearly 5,000 new coronavirus cases were detected in the country in the last 24 hours, including over 2,000 in Sindh, reports the Pakitani newspaper.
