Rain hits normal life in Delhi
New Delhi/UNI: Rain yet again left areas, roads across the national capital inundated on Thursday morning, reducing the traffic speed to a snail's pace.
Reports of water logging came from around the city at major intersections of roads and several colonies that got affected with the incessant rain in the wee hours.
According to Delhi Traffic Police, traffic movement on MB Road had to be closed from Mathura Road, due to waterlogging under Pul Prahlad Pur.
Whereas in North Delhi, movement of traffic was closed on Rajpur road section as a tree fell near Civil Lines Police Station and the commuters were advised to take an alternative route.
Similarly, there was an obstruction in traffic on the carriageway from Satyam towards Kasturba Underpass, Maharaja Surajmal Marg due to waterlogging at Jhilmil area in East Delhi.
As per Delhi Traffic Police Twitter, further waterlogging was reported at, 'GT Road at Azadpur Subzi Mandi out the gate (both carriageway), Sarai Pipal Thala (both carriageway), Mahindra Park Signal on GT Road (both carriageway), Jahangirpuri on GT Road (both carriageway), GTK Depot on GT Road and Barfkhana Chowk.
Meanwhile, there were reports of traffic jams and waterlogging from Gurugram, which also affected the traffic flow from Delhi to the Millenium city as the office goers had to crawl to reach their destinations.
