RB employees raise INR 2 crore for Save the Children
These funds will go towards supporting the partnership with Save the Children for STOP Diarrhoea programs in India. Chief Minister Harish Rawat along with Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh) and Co-Founder of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA) acknowledged the efforts made by the employees to raise awareness towards hygiene and sanitation.
The challenge consists of a five-day trek to the Kuari pass and will conclude with a visit to Save the Children’s project in Haridwar where the trekkers will help repair and renovate a school which is part of the programme supported by RB. They will also work with children attending the school to create awareness around the importance of adopting healthy hand washing habits by undertaking numerous tasks such as painting, hygiene messaging and hand washing demonstrations in addition to small manual labour tasks.
Currently RB is supporting various projects under Banega Swachh India in the state of Uttarakhand. STOP Diarrhoea, is one of the programs being implemented across 10 gram panchayats in each of the following locations in Uttarakhand - Laksar block in Haridwar district and Sitarganj block of Udhamsingh Nagar district. Recently RB in collaboration with World Toilet Organisation and GIWA announced the creation of World Toilet College and the GIWA Academy in New Delhi, with a campus to be located at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh.

As part of our nationwide campaign Dettol Banega Swachh India, we are partnering with Save the Children to implement STOP Diarrhoea program in the state of Uttarakhand. We thank the Hon’able Chief Minister Shri Harish Rawat for encouraging the participants in their efforts to make Uttarakhand healthier and cleaner.”
