With 1,227 new cases, COVID-19 tally reaches 1,23,383 in Bihar

Patna/UNI With 1227 new COVID-19 cases coming to light, the tally of coronavirus positive cases increased to 1,23,383 in the state so far.

Health department sources said here today that of the new cases Patna reported with 225 cases, taking the tally of the infected persons to 19,104 followed by Muzaffarpur with 75, East Champaran 68, Saharsa 65, Gaya 54, West Champaran 51, Bhojpur 49, Rohtas 44, Bhagalpur 42, Purnea 36, Jehanabad 35, Madhubani, Samastipur and Nalanda 34 each, Katihar 33, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi and Madhepura 29 each, Supaul 28, Saran 27, Aurangabad 22, Vaishali 21, Sheohar 20, Lakhisarai and Siwan 18 each, Araria, Kishanganj and Begusarai 13 each, Buxar 12, Jamui 11, Arwal and Khagaria 9 each, Nawada 8, Kaimur 6 , Munger 4, Gopalganj and Banka 2 each.

Among these cases sample of one person each of Bokaro, Delhi, Chunri, Godda and Saraidih were collected and examined at various places in Bihar which were found to be COVID-19 positive.
