Kiran Nadar Museum of Art hosts children's workshop Craftopia Season 2

New Delhi, June 03 (IBNS): Craftopia Season 2, a series of thought provoking workshops for children, is a summer treat presented by Kiran Nadar Museum of Art with a focus on helping children make unexpected connections with art.

The sessions initiates them into the world of creativity through stimulating conversations, performances, activities, and demonstrations. These workshops introduce the world of art through stories and exhibitions of works ranging from historical to modern and contemporary art.

The intention behind Craftopia Season 2 is to engage young minds and encourage them to explore diverse regions, languages, climate, arts and culture, traditions through art and craft from different states of India.

As a part of the KNMA mission of taking art to the public, these workshops will showcase various indigenous art forms of India. On tap for this year were paper dolls from Manipur, Rajasthani, Lippan art from Gujarat, Goa relief work, Gond painting from Madhya Pradesh, Bengali pat, Kite hanging from Punjab, Kathakali dolls from Kerala, felt Yak from Ladakh and Assamese masks.

Kiran Nadar Museum of Art is a private museum in India. A non-commercial, not-for-profit organization, KNMA is focused on the bridging the gap between art and the people in innovative ways, including exhibitions, publications, education, and public outreach programs.
