'Mask A Thon': An online art contest for children organised by KNMA
New Delhi/IBNS: If you are looking for an opportunity to engage your children during this lockdown crisis or want to showcase your kid's talent to the world, let them join the online art competition being hosted by the Dekhi-based Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA).
Titled 'Mask A Thon' the contest challenges schoolchildren to use the mask as a canvas for their creative effort.
The choice of the mask is significant as it is one of the main tool being used to combat the virus, the Museum said in a release.
The winning works will be printed on the masks and showcased for the world to view, the release said.
Said KNMA Founder and Chairperson, Kiran Nadar, “Our idea is to shine a light on the noble task of volunteering. The focus is to bring the liberating spirit of creativity, which is our preoccupation, to honor the heroic efforts of our public health professionals,”
This competition is open for young artists residing in India.
There are two age groups – Junior (Born on or after Jan 1, 2009) and Senior Category (Born between Jan 1, 2002 and Dec 31, 2008).
The theme for this online art competition is the "Mask".
The focus of the artwork will be on the mask to protect ourselves from the novel coronavirus.
There will be prizes and digital certificates.
All participants will receive e-participation certificates.
The submission to this competition can only be done through the official KNMA website (www.knma.in).
Competition is now open and entries can be submitted until May 23.
Results will be announced by May 30 on KNMA website.
