US-based Indian singer Joy Goswami collaborates with organisation working for children's welfare to raise funds
Kolkata/IBNS: US-based Indian singer Joy Goswami has been instrumental in raising funds for various social causes.
Recently he participated in a fundraising concert for Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI) on invitation from Dr. Ehsan Hoque, Founder & Executive Director and Dr. Khwaja Hossain, ND Chapter Lead.
DCI is a non-profit organization working to protect child rights and help families out of the poverty cycle through education, healthcare, and income generating opportunities.
The concert was coordinated by Dr. Dilip Mistry and anchored by Dr. Rubella Goswami.
Singer Joy Goswami has also helped the organisation for raising funds for COVID-19 and Supercyclone Amphan relief work, for musicians’ relief funds, etc.
Although born and brought up in Delhi and currently residing in the US, singer Goswami is a regular visitor to Kolkata, where he participates in live musical performances as well as record music albums, etc.
During the pandemic lockdown, Joy and Rubella hosted a series of interactive musical shows on virtual platforms for their audiences, presenting more than 500 songs from various genres of music, including Rabindrasangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Shyama Sangeet, Adhunik Bengali, Bengali Films and Hindi, in order to raise funds for many welfare organisations.
