Kolkata/IBNS: Philanthropic organization Santoor Ashram, spearheaded by Santoor maestro Tarun Bhattacharya, recently held a competition titled ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ to identify young talented performers from India and abroad in the field of Indian music and dance.

The competition was aimed at spreading awareness of India's heritage culture, Bhattacharya said.

The winning participants were felicitated at a grand function held at the ICCR Kolkata.

Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya said, "We overcame great difficulties during the pandemic and conducted the entire program virtually. There was a massive response from all corners of the globe for participation."

The panel of judges included Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, Bhajan-Samrat Anup Jalota and Pandit Bhattacharya himself.

"Stars of Tomorrow is a continuation of my mission for the past three decades of giving back to India’s art and culture and also upholding the legacy of Guru Shishya parampara,” Pandit Bhattacharya said.
