Guwahati/Assam: Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), under the Ministry of Culture, India launched a five-day summer workshop named 'Amrit Camp- Kadam Badhaye Ja', which was organized on July 17, in collaboration with Guwahati Artists' Guild, which ended on Friday.
Participating in the event were a hundred children from classes 5 to 10, who were trained in various crafts based on paper, clay and cloth along with painting and mime.
A special folk and contemporary dance drama 'Rivers of Assam' was conducted based on the songs of Dr Bhupen Hazarika, and was a special attraction to the final day function.
Prof. Dr. Dayananda Pathak, an eminent academician and writer, graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest stated The Sentinel Assam.
