IGNOU to host an exhibition to mark International Yoga Day

New Delhi, Jun 17 (IBNS): To celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21, 2016, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will organize various activities in their Convention Centre at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.
 A lecture will be delivered on concept and meaning of Yoga, its philosophical foundation and how Yoga is useful to purify the physical, mental and intellectual impurities and to raise person’s latent potential  to the maximum extent. 

Yogacharya Sudhir Kumar Jain will elaborate on how one can practice Yoga in daily life to make oneself and one’s society healthy and sound.  Yogic exercises will also be illustrated by children.
 
 An exhibition showing various Yogic Postures, Pranayam and meditation will be illustrated in the corridor of Convention Centre. 

The activities of this programe will be relayed live across all the 67 IGNOU Regional Centers and Partners Institutions across the world through webcast. 
 
All the Regional Centers will also celebrate the International Yoga Day at their respective locations.

The Programme is being organized by Prof. Narayan Prasad ,Coordinator, International Yoga Day.
