The School of Chinese Language in Kolkata celebrates its 8th anniversary

Kolkata, July 17 (IBNS): The 8th anniversary of The School of Chinese Language in Kolkata, celebrated on July Saturday, was sponsored by Consulate General of the P R of China.
The occasion was attended by Government of West Bengal's senior minister Subrata Mukherjee, Ma Zhanwu, Chief Patron, Consul General of P R China.
 
The School has given West Bengal valuable and important education in Chinese Language and also has created a bridge of friendship between the peoples of India and China. 
 
As stated by the Minister, the school is a result of sincere hard work since last decade by Madan Saraff (President) and Charisma (Principal).
 
The Consul General announced that the school of Chinese Language in Kolkata West Bengal was approved by the Confucius Institute/Hanban Beijing as India’s very 1st Confucius Classroom (there exist 1000 such classrooms world-wide). 
 
"This would further stimulate The School of Chinese Language to develop and nurture people to people exchanges in education field, provide opportunity to Indian youth for very affordable higher education in English-medium in China and develop teaching jobs for our youngsters," said he.
 
Mukherjee welcomed the initiative and stated that the West Bengal Government would be happy to consider any proposal from The School of Chinese Language which would assist in the growth of the State and esp. in generation of jobs in field of education.
 
Whilst the surprise exciting Tai-chi performance of  Consul General left the audience spellbound, the 26 fabulous presentations by 160 students of 20 leading Indian schools and universities made the work of the 7 Chinese judges more difficult.
 
Prizes were also awarded by the. Consul General of P R China and President Madan Saraff of The School of Chinese Language in Kolkata.
