Applied for MHTCET? Don’t forget to carry these documents at Exam Centre

MHT CET entrance test is conducted for those students who want to get admission in various courses such as B.E/ B.Tech, B.Pharma and Pharm.D in Maharashtra. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is responsible for organizing MHT CET which is conducted annually.

MHT CET examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 11, 2017. The last date to apply for MHT CET is March 23, 2017. Every year around 3.44 candidates appeared for B.Tech while 90,545 candidates appeared for Pharmacy courses.

MHTCET Admit Cardwill be released at dtemaharashtra.gov.in from April 24 onwards. All the eligible students who are appearing for the examination have to download the admit card first. Students without admit card cannot enter the examination centre.

Applicants are instructed to bring several documents at the examination centre for verification purpose. If students fail to bring the document at the examination centre then their candidature will be cancelled and they cannot appear for the examination.

Following is the list of all the documents that students must bring at the MHT CET Examination centre:
 

MHTCET Admit Card

Admit card is a very important document. Students can download the admit card through the online mode only by visiting the official website. MHT CET 2017 admits card is available from April 24 onwards. Students are advised to download the admit card and keep it safe till the admission process ends.


Aadhar Card

Along with the Admit card, it is mandatory for the students to bring the Aadhar card at the examination centre. Aadhar card is comprised of 12 digits unique number issued to Indian citizens on the basis of their biometric and demographic data. Aadhar card is also mandatory for MHT CET Entrance exam.

Identity Proof

In the examination hall, along with the Admit card students must also bring the photo identity proof such as PAN Card/ Indian Passport/ Driving License/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with Photograph/ Photo ID proof issued by Gazetted officer on official letterhead along with the photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by People’s Representative on official letterhead along with photograph etc.

Student’s identity will be verified with respect to details on the Admit Card. If there is any doubt regarding candidate’s identity then they may not be allowed to appear for the examination. Ration Card is not valid ID proof.

School/ College Identity Card

The identity card contains the information related to student’s name, their roll number, course etc. By showing the identity card to the examination authority student’s can sit in the examination.

Passport Size Photograph

Along with the other documents, students must bring the passport size photograph to the examination centre. The Photograph must be similar to the one that is uploaded at the time of filling the application form.

Examination authority maintains the attendance sheet for appeared candidates and they require student’s photograph for the same. Students are advised to attach their photograph on their identity proof.

What not to bring at the Exam Centre?

Students are not allowed to bring any other document/ things inside the test venue except the earlier mentioned documentsthat are required for verification. Following is the list of things/ documents is not allowed to take inside the examination hall:

1. Use of electronic devices such as Calculators, Slide Rules, log Table, or other arithmetic aids, Mobile Phones, Pagers, electronic watches is not permitted inside the examination hall.

2. Students are instructed not to bring any sheet inside the examination hall for rough work. A sheet of paper will be provided to the candidates for the use of rough work. Students are advised to return the rough sheet to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.

3. Students are also not allowed to carry their bags and wallets inside the examination hall because examination centre does not guarantee the safety of student’s personal belongings.

Other Related Information for MHTCET Test Day

Students must follow some of the important guidelines on the examination day. Important guidelines are written on the backside of the Admit card. Before appearing in the examination, students must carefully read all the information.

1. Students must reach the examination hall before the commencement of the examination.

2. Question paper and OMR answer sheet will be issued separately to the candidates at the start of the examination.

3. Students are only allowed to use BLACK ink ball point pen to mark the appropriate answer/ circle.

4. It is compulsory for candidates to carry valid MHTCET Admit card to the examination hall. Without MHTCET admit card students are not allowed to appear for the examination.

5. Students are free to attempt all the questions because there is no negative marking.

6. Use of Whitener or any other material to erase/ hide circle once filled is not permitted.

7. Rough work should only be done in the blank space provided on the question booklet. Rough work should not be done on the answer sheet.

8. Students are instructed not to fold the answer sheet or do not make any stray marks on it.

9. Once the answer is marked cannot be changed later. Any change in the option leads to incorrect response.

10. Students are not allowed to leave the examination hall till the paper gets over.
