IVI workshop on Non Strabismic Binocular Vision Anomalies organised at Goa Medical College

Bambolim, Oct 14 (IBNS): A two-day workshop on non-strabismic vision anomalies organised by India Vision Institute and Goa Medical College concluded in Bambolim on Sunday.

The workshop coincided with World Sight Day celebrations.

IVI CEO Vinod Daniel said “the workshop is a part of IVI’s mandate to enhance skills, educate and upgrade Indian Optometry.”

“IVI has organized several skill enhancement workshop or optometrists across India. The Goa workshop will focus on the importance of strabismic and non-strabismic binocular vision anomalies, investigate the types of strabismic and non-strabismic binocular anomalies, and conduct hands-on sessions for participants.”

The workshop was facilitated by Aditya Goyal, Principal, Sankara College of Optometry, Bangalore.

Welcoming the workshop, Dr Pradeep Naik, Dean, Goa Medical College, said: “I cannot thank IVI enough for taking the lead in organizing workshops and such initiatives in different parts of India. These will no doubt go a long way towards raising standards of Indian Optometry.”

Over 60 students, Optometry practitioners, and educators from Goa Medical College benefited from the workshop.
