Kolkata, Ap 15 (IBNS): Cambridge University Press has announced its first digital education product in India, Cambridge Learn, a first-of-its kind comprehensive digital learning solution.

Cambridge Learn comprises of books and learning resources on a tablet.  With the potential to transform teaching and learning for teachers and students, Cambridge Learn is leading the revolution in digital learning in schools following Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and IB (International Baccalaureate) programmes and qualification in India.

Speaking on the launch of Cambridge Learn, Ratnesh Kumar Jha, Managing Director, Cambridge University Press, South Asia, said, “ At Cambridge University Press, we are driven by a simple goal: to create resources that helps in igniting curiosity and love for learning in teachers and students alike.”

Cambridge Learn is a complete teaching and learning programme that would enable the introduction and optimum use of technology in the classrooms. This new solution is a comprehensive digital solution designed to bring all the key stake holders into its fold – the teachers, the students and the school – with distinct benefits for all.

A classroom at any stage of digital sophistication can easily adapt Cambridge Learn and integrate it seamlessly into the current system of the school.  The programme has been devised to work on any platform - Android, iOS and Windows - and is designed to bring benefits to teachers and students alike.  Schools have the ability to customise tablets for individual students and teachers.

Cambridge Learn functions as a teacher’s assistant, augmenting their capabilities with specific features that include teacher’s plans for the year ahead, schedules of activities and assessments, advanced lesson planning and assessment plans to help teachers track individual students’ performance levels per subject. It complements existing teaching resources by providing books used by schools as ebooks, integrating simple yet effective learning management.  It also provides easy information access for parents.

Podar International School, Mumbai is the first school to adopt this digital solution from Cambridge University Press.  Mrs. Vandana Lulla, Director, Podar International School said, “Cambridge Learn is bringing immense user friendly technology into class rooms. It is a two-way software which promotes children to have inquiry-based and collaborative learning while enabling them to develop skills for the coming times. With the help of the Cambridge Learn team, our dream of creating responsible, creative and innovative learners through digital learning is taking shape.”

Cambridge Learn will initially be aimed at schools following the IB and CIE curriculum in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. This reach demonstrates the commitment by Cambridge University Press to promote educational excellence in South Asia and underlines their position as a world leader in educational content production and research as they embrace these transformative educational tools.
