Street food takes centre stage at Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata Holi brunch on March 10

Kolkata/IBNS: Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata has decided to add a quirky feel to its Holi brunch menu by digging up some of the popular and not so popular Indian street food.

Called Khao Galli Holi Brunch, it will be on offer between noon and 3pm on March 10 at the hotel's all-day diner Kava at a price of Rs 999 (plus tax) per head.

Highlights include “Benares Thandai” and “Tiranga Chuski”, “Phuchkas” with three types of water and fusion chaats such as “Beetroot and Peanut Butter Tikki, Caper Wasabi Chutney”, “Potato Chaat, White Pea Ragda”, “Tofu Coriander Vadai, Kafir Lime Gunpowder”, “Baked Paneer Pinwheel, Indian Coriander Pesto”, all from live stations at the buffet.

If you are looking for something more filling, there are options ranging from burgers and sandwiches to “Kabuli Biryani’’, “Murgh Badshahi Biryani”, “Mirch ka Salan”, “Dal Kava”, etc.

There will also be a special Mexican counter where you may try “Nachos”, “Tacos”, “Quesadillas” and “Mexican Pao Bhaji”.

A Holi meal is never complete without a dessert; on offer under desserts are “Jalebi”, “Baked Boondi”, and “Hot Gulab Jamun”.
