Kolkata/IBNS: Registrations have opened for the popular spelling content SPELLINC organised by writing instruments manufacturer Linc Pen and Plastics Limited.

The 22nd edition of the contest will go beyond spellings and focus on grammar, phonology, syntax, semantics and other aspects of the English language, the organisers said.

Well-known authors such as Amish Tripathi, Ira Saxena and Pankaj Tripathi are on board to encourage the young participants to develop their spelling skills.

The organisers announced that Ashwin Sanghi (author of books such as ‘The Vault of Vishnu’, ‘The Rozabal Line’, ‘Chanakya’s Chant ' and ‘The Krishna Key’) will be the mentor and will give away the awards this year.

Registration for SPELLINC 2021-22 will close on October 31, 2021.

The entire registration process will run through the official website and can be done completely free of cost here

Qualifiers for the 1st round will be announced on November 14, 2021 while the final will take place on November 28, 2021.

Each participant will be awarded a certificate while the winners will receive smart-watches, Linc hampers, trophies and certificates.

Meanwhile the SPELLINC website will also feature fun quizzes, brainteasers, word games, anagrams and other engaging activities for children.

The website is also home to the event’s mascot, Sirius the Spellinc Cat, who is the virtual tour guide for all students and aspiring candidates.

Deepak Jalan, CEO & MD, Linc Pen and Plastics Limited, said, “We feel overwhelmed to witness the legacy of 22 years with the second year of going digital with Spellinc. We take pride in seeing the commendable responses by students with every passing year. We look forward to contributing to nurturing the future generation of our country.”
