Kolkata/IBNS: Here is a pleasant opportunity to dig into some savoury street food this weekend.

The popular Kolkata shopping zone, Acropolis Mall, is holding its third edition of its Street Food Festival, aptly named ‘Chatpata 3.0’.

The festival was inaugurated on Friday in the presence of actor Tithi Basu (of the popular television serial 'Maa' fame) and K Vijayan, General Manager of Acropolis Mall.

Be ready to be spoiled for choice once you step into the arena.

Not only Kolkata favourites but exotic fare such as Italian, Chinese and Lebanese are also on offer.

A glimpse into the variety revealed Lebanon Bar B Q chicken, Hummus Nashib & Pita Bread, and Lebanon Khati Kebab Wrap from Go Lebanese; Aghani Tangri , Chicken Pahanri Kebab and Mixed Noodles from 3 Idiots; Vetki Kebab Fry and Chicken Kabiraji from Poush Parban; and Sengupta's Luchi Alur Dum and Tikka Fry;  Dahi Puchka and Papri Chat from Asha Chat Centre; Chicken Puchka and Bhetki Pattice from The Galley, etc.

No eating out is complete without a bite of dessert – for which you may drop in at Turkisyano for some Turkish Ice Cream, bite into Alphonso Mango Sandesh or Butterscotch Sandesh from Nalin Chandra, or get into the winter mood with Patisaptha Pithe and Mango Pithe from Rupkatha.

The more adventurous may try the Mango Paan from Roy Pan.

The food festival is open between noon and 10pm until December 5, 2021.

K Vijayan, GM, Acropolis, assured that  they will be adhering to all COVID-19 protocols and ensure people wear masks and follow safety precautions.
