Kolkata/IBNS: Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan Pataudi was the showstopper at the yearly Shaadi By Marriott Bonvoy, which was held at Westin, Kolkata last Saturday.

In a red lehenga, Soha scorched the ramp wrapping up the evening fashion row.

Speaking at the event, Soha shared she felt "dressing up" was one of the most important aspects in a marriage.

Soha says, "The event (Shaadi By Marriott Bonvoy) reminds me of my wedding, getting all dressed up. The event had beautiful jewellery, clothes and models, I think it was very beautifully done.

"I really think weddings are ultimately about two people who are making this sort of a lifelong commitment. I do think people should dress up on this day."

Remembering her wedding day, the actress adds, "When Kunal and I got married with just 30 people in our living room sitting on our sofa, we were dressed up. We wanted it to be special.

"We took a photograph which always remains on our bedside table. I think it's nice to make that effort for each other."

Among other showstoppers were Bengali actresses Sauraseni Maitra and Mishmee Das.

Speaking at the event, Subhash Sinha, General Manager of The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat said, "Shaadi by Marriott Bonvoy was a celebration of tradition and modernity, bringing together the best of both worlds.

"We at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat believe in going beyond our roles and responsibilities to make the wedding of your dreams come true."
