Bengali actress Priyanka Sarkar announces winners of 'Glamourama Face of 2023' in Kolkata
Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali actress Priyanka Sarkar announced the names of the winners of the maiden edition of 'Glamourama Face of 2023,' which aims to celebrate the "essence of beauty and talent".
Organised by The Institute of Personality and Image Management (IPIM), three were named the competition's champions from among the 45 best finalists in the Miss, Mrs., and Mr. categories.
In the Mrs. category, Tajeinder Kaur claimed the title of winner, with Anindita Sanyal as the first runner-up and Ruma Chatterjee as the second runner-up.
Joshua Gomez secured the winner position in the Mr. category, followed by Tirthankar Chatterjee as the first runner's up, and a tie for second runner's up between Rwik Biswal and Kiran Pawar.
Gita Basu Mahagama was announced as the winner in the Miss category, while the first runner's up positions were shared by Swathy B and Subhraja Chatterjee, and Priyanka Chakraborty secured the second runner's up position.
Distinguished personalities including actor Priyanka Sarkar, the Brand Ambassador of Glamourama 2023, Alexey Idamkin, Consul General of Russia, Sidhu, lead singer-producer of Cactus Band, director Subhrajit Mitra, Firdausul Hasan, film producer, Aditi Khemka, CEO of Aparnaa Fabrics, Jolly Chanda, celeb hairstylist, Sudarshan Chakraborty, choreographer, and several others were among the jury panel.
“I started my career by participating in a beauty pageant, which gave me the idea of creating Glamourama, a platform for young people to bring out their hidden talents, which go completely unrecognised. In today’s world, young people are extremely conscious of their presence and are eager to make a mark in life,” Adolina Ganguly said.
Tollywood actors Swastika Dutta, Neel Bhattacharya, Alexandra Taylor, Priyanka Mondal, and Srijani Mitra walked the ramp as showstoppers of the evening. Besides them, Debashis Kumar, MLA, West Bengal State Assembly, was also present during the event.
Prior to the finale, the contestants underwent grooming sessions organised by IPIM, whose maiden venture was dedicated to nurturing young talents in the image-building and entertainment industry.
Targeting an audience between the ages of 18 and 40, more than 2,000 entries were submitted across 27 categories for the competitions.
