Kolkata, March 3 (IBNS): Restaurant chain Chowman on Wednesday inaugurated its first oriental fine dining branch in Kolkata's Behala area.
Debaditya Chaudhary, Managing Director, Chowman Chain of Restaurants and founder-member of Bengali rock-band Lakkhichhara along with Tollywood actors Arunima Ghosh and Soham were present at the inauguration of the sixth branch of the restaurant.

Speaking on the occasion, Debaditya Chaudhary said: “Behala is not known for having Chinese restaurants. Most residents go to Park Street or to South City Mall for a meal. Chowman has always created eating destinations and we wish to continue to spread to other parts of the city as well as by the end of this year.”

Chowman not only serves a wide assortment of prawn, chicken, fish, pork, lamb and crab dishes but also offers an array of scrumptious vegetarian dishes as well, an official statement claimed.

The hot favorites among the vegetarians are exotic veg in white sauce, vegetable crispy honey fried wontons, mixed Vegetables in pickled chili sauce, tofu in black bean sauce, exotic vegetables in chili basil sauce and devil’s exotic vegetables.

Chowman’s signature décor with elegant red and black color scheme surrounded by low lighting along with the bronze Buddha statute, pots and bells are thoughtfully put together for a soothing ambiance.
