Kolkata, Aug 19 (IBNS): Chapter 2, a restaurant in Kolkata's Mani Square Mall, launched a special buffet on Wednesday that will remind diners of Park Street restaurants dating back to the 1960s and 70s.

Bengali film actor Soham Chakraborty inaugurated the 'retro dining' buffet that will be available seven days a week, at Rs 400 (excluding tax)  per head.

Chapter 2 is a new outlet from Platter Hospitality Pvt Ltd, a company owned by brothers, Shiladitya and Debaditya Chaudhury.

The special lunch buffet at this 75-cover restaurant consists of 21 dishes, mostly continental and a few Chinese dishes.

Debaditya Choudhury said: “Chapter 2 is the first to offer continental buffet in the city.”

Speaking about Chapter 2, Sohom said: “I would like to come here instead of going to Park Street to enjoy the food as well as the music.”

He said: “I have full support for both the partners of the restaurant and wish them good luck.”

With the festive season round the corner in Kolkata, Soham said that people now have an excellent restaurant in Chapter 2 to complement their shopping spree in the Mall.

Regarding the name of the restaurant, Debaditya said: “According to us, Park Street is the Chapter 1, so its recreation is named as Chapter 2.”
