Kolkata, Nov 20 (IBNS): With Christmas a little over a month away, Kolkata's Park Plaza hotel recently organised a cake-mixing ceremony.

The cake-mixing ceremony was attended by Marc Salesse, Consulate Officer, Consulate General De France and other guests.

Jayanta Banerjee, Executive Chef, said: “In this mixture, there are 14 dry fruits such as black currants, cherries, candied orange, nuts, etc along with dark rum, white wine and brandy.”

Banerjee said the mixture will be allowed to stand up to  one month to enhance its richness, specially for flavour and colour.

Park Plaza's General Manager, Subrata Banerjee said: “As the grand festival of Christmas is knocking at the door and being in Kolkata, we welcome this festival with utter joy and happiness. This year, we aim to revive the age old tradition and celebrate the cake-mixing ceremony with Kolkattans.”

Kolkata-based Park Plaza is a five-star tar property of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
