Kolkata/IBNS: Traffic Gastropub, a popular pub and cafe in Rajarhat, on the eastern suburb of Kolkata, turned four recently.
Started by friends Swastik Nag and Siddharth Gupta, with support from Shekhar Chatterjee, the place has carved a niche for itself on the culinary map of the city.
To mark their anniversary, they have introduced a well-curated menu.
Their beverage section has been artfully curated featuring many interesting cocktails, such as the Traffic Ecstasies, prepared with Tequila, homemade sugar-free jalapeno syrup, coconut and lime syrup and pineapple juice, or the Cherry Pimm’s prepared with homemade cinnamon and star anise syrup, Maraschino Muddle and Bourbon Whiskey.
You may also try Green Hawaiian, made from Tanqueray Gin, Cointreau, homemade cucumber syrup, fresh lime syrup and simple syrup; or go for the Jungle Bird, a mixture of Bacardi White Rum, Campari, fresh pineapple and lime juice and fruit juice.
The food menu has been planned to complement the drinks section.
Try the ABCD, consisting of Aloo Doughnut, Tandoori Broccoli, Chicken Fingers and Spicy Drumsticks.
If you are a pizza lover, then try the Parked Pizza.
The calorie conscious may try the Nutrition Depot or the Tandoori Egg Devil.
How about some Desi Churros (papad stuffed mutton keema cigar); Le Khoka (Harissa grilled Golda Chingri or large river prawns) and Peyarrelal, which is Charmula Pomfret prepared with vodka.
Desserts include Creamy Dream—a shahi tukda fresh fruit cheesecake, and Prothom Alap—a cilantro flavored crispy corn, roasted peanut with roasted chhana.
Traffic Gastropub is located at City Centre 2 in Rajarhat.
