Kolkata, Oct 4 (IBNS): Here is our second (and final) list of places you can go to this Durga Puja to eat, drink and be merry. This compilation focuses on standalone places, some with multiple outlets across the city.

Aminia

One of Kolkata’s most popular restaurants for Mughlai food, it has several outlets across the city. So drop in at any of the outlets of Aminia (except the New Market outlet) and indulge in some of their signature dishes such as Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Chicken Tikka Kebab, Tandoori Fish Tikka, Chicken Rezala, Mutton Rezala, Chicken Bharta, Fish Tikka Butter Masala, Vegetable Dum Biryani, Paneer Butter Masala, Firni and Mihidani with Rabdi , etc.

When: October 1 to 10, 2019; 11am to 3am.

American Waffle House

With several outlets across the city, this branded chain has curated a Durga Puja Special menu consisting of some lip-smacking waffles, brownies, and beverages, such as Kit Kat Crunch Waffle, Candy Gum Red Velvet, Candy Gum Black Velvet, Simply Snickers Waffle, Warm Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream, Virgin Mojito Mint Crusher, Brownie Milkshake and Brownie Vanilla Cookie Sandy.

When: September 28 to October 29; different outlets have different timings.

Bon Appetit

This cosy café, with two outlets in the city, has introduced a special dessert menu for the festive season – Pujor Hullor -Mudpies with a Twist. Highlights include Orange Choco Mudpie, Cranberry Choco Mudpie, Salted Caramel Choco Mudpie, Coffee Almond Choco Mudpie, Old Monk Choco Mudpie, Marshmallow Choco Mudpie, Chilli Raisin Choco Mudpie and White Choco Mudpie.

When: October 1 to 31; 9am to 8.30pm.

Bune – The Coffee Room

The place offers an assorted menu. Some of the must-try items from each section of the menu are Roasted Lemon Chicken Salad, Fish Finger with Tartar Sauce, Chicken Momos, Pasta available in both Penne and Spaghetti, Chilly Chicken with fried rice, Fish & Chips with Tartar Sauce, etc.

When: September 28 to October 29, 2019; 1pm to 10pm.

Echoes

A brand with outlets in Kolkata and other cities, Echoes has decided to stick to the city’s favourites, including Bedana Mojito, Jalpari Seekh Kebab, Pan Fried Chilli Fish, Fish Tikka, Kachori and Aloo,  a Fish Platter, Mishti Doi and Gulab Jamun with Rabri Shot, etc.

When: September 29 to October 7, 2019; 12.30pm to midnight.

Jaluk

Get a taste of Assam and its unique cuisine at this restaurant. They have decided to offer diners a discount of 10 per cent on billings of above Rs 500 during the festive days.

When: October 4 to 6, 2010.

Ocean Grill

The right place for seafood lovers. Their special Durga Puja buffet menu includes Bengali, North Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisines. But the star of the show is Ocean Grill’s Specialties such as their Seafood Platter, Fillets, Whole Fishes and many more.

When: October 4 to 8, 2019; noon to 11pm.

Paranthe Wali Galli

This Parantha joint is straight out of Delhi’s Chandni Chowk. Along with their regular menu,  their special Puja menu includes 10 different kinds of Porotas such as Ranga Aloor Porota, Kolmi Shak ar Moog Dal er Porota, Narkel ar Postor Porota, Dhokar Porota, Paniphal ar Kalojeerer Porota, Ada, Knachalonka ar Tomator Porota, Phulkopi ar Aloo Badam er Porota, Kumro, Potol er Porota, Gur, Kola, Chirer Porota and Khejur Amsotto Kishmish er Porota.

When: Oct 1 to 31; 9am to 9pm.

6 Ballygunge Place

With several outlets across the city, this restaurant chain’s Bengali cuisine specialty restaurants are offering a special Durga Puja menu with the food items changing every day.

When: October 4 to 8.

The Lords and Barons

Travel back in time when the city was called ‘Calcutta’ at this very British pub though the menu is a mix of many cuisines. The festive menu includes French Fries, Crispy Chilli Baby corn, Jamaican Paradise (Pizza), Bharwan Atishi Aloo, Beijing style Chicken, Pasta and Risotto, American Magic (Dessert) and many more dishes.

When: October 2 to 31, 2019; 1pm to 11.30pm.

Traffic Gastropub

Known for its music, food and quirky décor, the pub draws its inspiration from the traffic on the road. Highlights from their menu include Tomar Amar Prem (American corn on cob), China Town

Manchurian Ball (Tangra special), Traffic Staff Rice (a mixture of rice, egg, chicken and Szechuan sauce), Dry Chilli Chicken, PoddarEr Paneer Chop, MashirMangshor Chop, Balwant Singh’s Chicken Amritsari Kebab, Kosha Mangsho Pizza, Chingri Malaikari Pizza, and Nolen Gur Brownie.

Their restaurant First Innings offers a special Puja buffet that includes some of the best dishes from the Bengal kitchen.
