Designer Gaurang Shah inaugurates the new "Uttariya" collection in Kolkata

Kolkata, Oct 8 (IBNS) Designer Gaurang Shah showcased his new “Uttariya” collection before the puja festive season in Kolkata on Wednesday.

‘Uttariya’, the new dupatta collection was launched at the event and was showcased by model Diksha and Debolina.

The traditional dupattas are long multi-purpose scarfs made to suit mostly the style of south-Asian women, who loves wearing dupattas with western as well as Indian outfits.

The starting range of the dupattas is Rs. 5000 and goes up to Rs. 15,000  depending on embroideries and works done on them.

Commenting on his ‘Uttariya’ collection, Gaurang Shah said, “Dupattas undoubtedly look graceful and elegant. Since modern-traditional women can carry almost everything, it inspired me to launch a unique collection of dupattas to celebrate the spirit of joy residing in every women.”

“I wanted to introduce this concept in Kolkata and give an opportunity to the beautiful women of the city to come and experience the variety of handcrafted dupattas made with exquisite designs and fabrics,” he added.
