Kolkata, May 17 (IBNS): New York-based skincare company Kiehl's opened its first store in Kolkata at the Quest Mall on Saturday.

Tollywood actor Shaheb Bhattacharjee, actress Mumtaz Sorcar and fashion designer Pranay Baidya inaugurated the store  on Saturday.

The launch was hosted by Kolkata based fashion designer Pranay Baidya.

Kolkata is the fifth city, apart from Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, where Kiehl’s store has been opened in the country.

Anurag Tyagi, Brand Manager, Kiehl’s India said: “At Kiehl’s, it is always our attempt to be present where our customers are. Over the last 3 years, we have been seeing significant demand for Kiehl’s from customers in this city who have been shopping only from our stores in other cities such as in Delhi or Mumbai. We are therefore thrilled to be introducing Kiehl‘s to our Kolkata customers with a store in their own city.”

Pranay Baidya said: “I’m delighted that Kiehl’s has finally come to Calcutta. As someone who lives between Calcutta and Bombay, it is just great to know that I don’t have to wait to travel to either Bombay or even NewYork to stock up on my Kiehl’s favorites.”
