Kolkata/IBNS: With the festive season upon us, Acropolis Mall in south Kolkata, has geared up to welcome patrons with all pandemic protocols in place, according to the authorities.

Dazzling decorations, Christmas trees and stars, and brilliant illuminations have turned the mall into a fairy land.

In keeping with the mood, the winter sale has also kicked off where most brands are offering Christmas special bargains.

One of the most popular locations inside the Mall is where Santa Claus is sitting on a sledge pulled by the reindeer, where young and old are seen taking umpteen selfies.

And if you are feeling peckish, there is also a Bakery Festival going on where well-known bakery brands promise to rustle up cakes and pastries.

The authorities have said that a cake making contest has been organized online and a fancy dress competition for children will be held with adherence to all  distancing and hygiene protocols.

Said K Vijayan, GM, Acropolis Mall, "We expect a good turnout this Christmas.  Our winter sale is in full swing. Acropolis is already geared up to attract children and their families with magnificent decor and the upcoming bakery festival to soak in the spirit of joy. We encourage children to bring their parents and make some memories this Christmas in the safest way.”
