Dishani Roy of south Kolkata adjudged winner of Ya Devi, 2021 at Acropolis Mall pageant
Kolkata/IBNS: Along with celebrating its sixth birthday, the popular Acropolis Mall of Kolkata also held the grand finale of its Ms Blooming Kolkata pageant.
Dishani Roy from Behala was adjudged the winner of the third season of the beauty pageant titled Ya Devi.
‘Ya Devi – Ms Blooming Kolkata’ was instituted in 2019 by Acropolis Mall.
Debjani Das from Gardenreach Santoshpur and Sudeshna Das Banerjee from Dumdum were adjudged first and second runners up, respectively.
Dhriti Das won the Miss Photogenic Face Award.
Rupali Chakraborty bagged the award for presenting the best promotional reel on Instagram about Acropolis.
In keeping with the pandemic situation, the contest for this year was launched digitally where 75 contestants took part.
Even the grooming session for the 25 shortlisted candidates was organised online.
Saket Mohta, MD, Merlin Group, presented the accolades to the winners in a special event.
The event was also attended by Sushmita Roy, Femina Miss India West Bengal 2019; Shalini Mukherjee Tanwani, winner of Ya Devi 2020, Anwesa Chakraborty, Miss Plus Size India 2019, who was also a judge of Ya Devi 2021; Soumie Dutta, Mrs. India Universe (Kolkata) 2019; and many others.
Said Mohta, “Women epitomize power and energy. A woman can excel at any field given an opportunity. We at Acropolis Mall are providing a platform to them to prove their mettle and manifest their power.”
Mohta said that the winners will have the opportunity to model for the promotional campaigns of Acropolis Mall.
