Kolkata NGO organises walk for child rights on Father's Day

Kolkata/IBNS: A city NGO on Sunday organised a walk for child rights and the role of fathers in parenting on the occasion of International Father's Day (June 18).

The walk was organised by Ayushman Initiative for Child Rights ( AIFCR ), a charitable trust working for the rights of alienated children, in association with Initiative for Scientific and Public Awareness Target (ISPAT).

The event saw children and citizens walking from Karunamoyee (Salt Lake ) to Salt Lake City Centre  to spread the message that fathers play an equally important role in parenting of a child.

Participants in the walk include Indian chess Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua, Sayan Bhattacharya, Pt. Mallar Ghosh, singer Sumit Roy,  Mallika  Ghosh, Advocate Ammar Zaki, Advocate Saptadipa Singha, Abhishek Paul (a surrogate father) along with Arijit Mitra, hon secretary of AIFCR and Ritesh Basak , secretary of ISPAT.
