Jammu and Kashmir: Vomedh celebrates Swami Nand Bab's legacy by hosting devotional program in Srinagar, issue of Article 370 discussed

Srinagar:  Vomedh, a leading cultural organization, in collaboration with the media portal The Right News (TRN), successfully concluded a devotional program on Saturday, celebrating mystic, Swami Nand Bab, and promoting the spirit of Sufism and mysticism in the picturesque valley of Kashmir.

During the event, which took place at the prestigious Tagore Hall in Srinagar,

speakers explained that the removal of Article 370 opened up avenues for positive transformation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The event commenced with a warm and heartfelt welcome speech by Rohit Bhat, the founder of Vomedh and TRN.

In his address, Bhat emphasized the significance of preserving Kashmir's rich heritage of mysticism and talked about his mystical personal connection with Swami Nand Bub.

A documentary, which is titled "Sarkar the Nand Bab," was screened during the program, shedding light on the life and teachings of the revered mystic, Swami Nand Bab.

The film captivated the audience, offering a glimpse into the mystic's clairvoyant abilities and his ability to transcend religious divides to alleviate the sufferings of the common people.

The highlight of the event was two soul-stirring paper readings on Swami Nand Bab, delivered by distinguished gentlemen, Brij Nath Batab, a renowned poet, writer, and eminent journalist, and Dr. Ghulam Nai Haleem, a poet and writer.

Both readings delved into the mystic's life, his universal message of love and compassion.

With an improved situation, the region witnessed enhanced connectivity and communication, enabling the free flow of ideas, knowledge, and cultural exchanges.

They added that Swami Nand Bab's teachings aligned with the core values of Sufism, emphasizing love, compassion, and universal brotherhood.

In Swami Nand Bab's time, people from all walks of life, including ministers, judges, and bureaucrats, sought his blessings, transcending societal divisions.

Likewise, the removal of Article 370 has paved the way for a united Kashmir, where people can once again come together to cherish their shared cultural heritage.

The program resonated with the melodious strains of Sufiyani music, enchantingly performed by Rajesh Kher and his talented team. The mesmerizing tunes touched the hearts of the attendees, fostering an atmosphere of spiritual harmony and camaraderie.

The event welcomed esteemed guests of honor, including Bharat Singh Manhas (JKAS), Secretary, Cultural Academy, and Gh. Hussain Dar, Chairman of B D C Singpora. Also present were Ghulam Mohudin Sofi, Chairman of B D C Wagoora, Bharat Bhushan Bhat, President of Zeashta Devi Prabandak Committee, and Anita Chandpuri, a respected social activist.

Their presence underscored the significance of the program in promoting unity and cultural exchange.

Bharat Singh Manhas, the esteemed Chief Guest, delivered an insightful speech, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting Kashmir's rich composite culture, with Sufism and mysticism at its heart. He praised Vomedh's efforts in organizing such an event that seeks to bridge the gaps between communities and foster communal harmony.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Manzoor Ahmad Mir, a renowned theatre director, expressing gratitude to all the attendees, organizers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the program.

Rashid Nizami, the eloquent and charismatic anchor, skilfully navigated the proceedings, ensuring that the program flowed seamlessly, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present.

The Vomedh and TRN team present during the event included Zaffar Ahamad Dar, Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Farhad Siddique, Arshad Nowsheri, Gulfam Barjee, Marian Mudasir, Sunny Mujoo, Bhavna Pandita, Sushma Kumari, Bharti Kaul, Priya Khar, Hamagni Moza, Rajesh Khar, King C Bharti.

The devotional program in memory of Swami Nand Bab on the momentous day of 5th August celebrated the enduring spirit of Sufism and mysticism, which transcends religious and cultural barriers, fostering unity and love among people of all backgrounds in Kashmir.
