BSF hosts Holi Mela in Srinagar ahead of festival of colours

Border Security Force (BSF) hosted ‘Holi Mela’ on the eve of the Holi festival at BSF campus Humhama in Srinagar on Sunday.

The event was inaugurated by BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) President, Roopa Yadav, accompanied by Inspector General, BSF Frontier Kashmir, Ashok Yadav.

All Officers and troops played Holi and hugged each other with an exchange of festive greetings and colours.

The 'Holi Mela' offered a plethora of attractions, including an array of food and sweets stalls, gift shops brimming with vibrant merchandise, captivating cultural programs, engaging fun games, exciting competitions, and a special kids zone.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from all officers, SOs, troops of BSF, and sister agencies, along with their families, who reveled in the festive spirit and cherished every moment of the celebration.

The culmination of the Mela resonated with heartfelt Holi greetings extended by Roopa Yadav, Ashok Yadav to all the troops and their families.

Speaking on the occasion, IG Frontier expressed the significance of unity within the BSF family and emphasized the collective celebration of all festivities.

He extended warm wishes for happiness and prosperity to all troops and their families.

In his address, IG Frontier extended heartfelt Holi wishes to the dedicated BSF Jawans, acknowledging their unwavering commitment and relentless efforts in safeguarding the nation's farthest frontiers along the Line of Control and International Borders.

The 'Holi Mela' at BSF Campus Humhama not only exemplified the spirit of joy and togetherness but also served as a testament to the BSF's dedication towards fostering camaraderie and celebrating cultural diversity.
