Music enthusiasts of Ranaghat rejoice as Indian Idol Academy sets it footprint in the region

Kolkata, May 23 (IBNS): Indian Idol Academy, a joint initiative of KarmYog Education Network (KEN) and FremantleMedia, owner of the brand Idol, set its foot in Ranaghat on Saturday, with a vision of introducing new era of music learning experience.

The launch took place at the academy premises at Courtmorein the august presence of Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, MLA Ranaghat, Koshaldev Banerjee, Councillor Ranaghat Municipality nd senior officials from KarmYog Education Network. 

The launch was followed by a Talent Hunt.

The Academy provides children access to music, singing and performance training, learning from major music legends with the most direct access possible in a classroom setting.

The Academy instils a deep love of music in all children, increases their confidence, and improves their ability to focus. All programs are targeted at children from age group of 5 to 16 years. There is also a program to groom current music teachers to become music mentors at the Academy.

“This initiative has been designed to hone the skills of all children who love music. It would also provide performance platform for talented children from Ranaghat in the form of Children Choir. The initial programs of the academy will provide basic music education to all children. Advanced programs are available for children who have talent and motivation to study advanced singing,” said, Sourabh J Sarkar, Co-Founder and Chairman of KarmYog Education Network, Ltd.

The first programme Jaaago – Wake up to the Magic of Music, a 90-minute interactive workshop for children with their guardians, was introduced today along with the launch of the academy.   To make the workshop more accessible, various venue partners are being looked at.
