She has drawn inspiration from real people and events in her life for the story, says the author

Congratulations on the release of 'To Write Love on Her Hand'. Is this your debut as a writer?

Thank you for the wishes. Yes this is my debut as an author. This is just the beginning as I am already working on the sequel of this book which will release in January 2019.

Would you like to share with us the subject and premise of the story that the book encloses?

Firstly I would like to tell you that this book is inspired from real life characters and true events. The story revolves around two characters who are from different religion but fall in love. It is their struggle to be together against the society and family. The end of the story is just the beginning of their struggle against the family and society to prove that love is beyond religion.

What is your take on contemporary love stories?

Its always classic love stories. It highlights about real life events and characters whom we can connect with. When I read a contemporary love story I can relate myself with the events and the characters. It makes you feels as if you are in the shoes of that character.

What kind of books have acted as inspiration for the book?

I am a bibliophile. I can't stay without books. My inspiration are The Notebook , A Walk to Remember and Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.

How has the response from your family been so far?

Being from a family of authors and writers, it is a proud moment for them as in my generation I am the first one to take up writing as my profession.
