Apple releases first preview of iPhone Apple Intelligence

In a highly anticipated move, tech major Apple has unveiled the iPhone Apple Intelligence integration.

The company first unveiled its AI assistant during the  Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

It shared a glimpse of the future of iPhone interaction.

With the AI integration, the virtual assistant is expected to become more intelligent, responsive, and capable of handling complex tasks. This is because the the core of Apple’s AI strategy appears to be centered around enhancing Siri. By infusing Siri with advanced AI capabilities, Apple aims to create a more intelligent and responsive digital companion, reported The Financial Express.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said the new feature revelation will provide users new possibilities.

"Apple Intelligence is going to unlock a world of new possibilities for our users, and it’s thrilling to see our developers begin to build with it. We’re excited to see the amazing things they create," Cook posted on X.

Who can currently use it?

The new software called Apple Intelligence was released in the developer beta of iOS 18.1, reported CNBC.

It is also available in similar releases for iPad and Mac.

It can be availed by developers to test.

In addition, users will have to register for a waitlist inside Apple’s settings app after updating to gain access to the service, which involves pinging Apple servers for more complicated requests, reported CNBC.

It is expected to be released to the public later this year.

"But the 18.1 version number suggests Apple Intelligence will not be released alongside new iPhone hardware, which is expected to be launched running iOS 18 in the fall," reported CNBC.
