92.7 Big FM celebrates 'Uttam Purush'
Veteran actors Soumitra Chatterjee and Chinmoy Roy were present to grace the occasion and shared with the media some sweet memories with Uttam Kumar.
Actor Bhaswar, who recently got married to Mahanayak’s granddaughter, was present along with Ashwin Patwardhan, National Business Head of Big FM.
“ Uttam Kumar is a legend and will forever be a legend for his contribution to the Tollywood film industry. I still can’t believe that how a person can retain the same popularity in the hearts of film lovers even after so many years since he has passed away. He is a real hero,” said Chinmoy Roy.
Big FM has planned to celebrate the icon’s birthday both on -air and on –ground with an aim to reach out of millions of listeners.
The on-air celebrations will take off with his co-stars, Soumitra, Ranjit Mullick, Biswajit Chatterjee and Chinmoy Roy, who would narrate unknown tales about the legend in the Breakfast Show.
In the mid- morning show, RJs will share recipes of Kumar's favourite dishes ,while in the afternoon show, the current generation actresses like Koel Mullick, Srabanti, Subhashree and Mimi will express their craze, love and adoration for the actor.
The on –ground celebrations would kick off with a food festival- ‘Food Fiesta’ at KK’s Fusion on Sept 3 that will feature Kumar's most cherished dishes.
An exclusive movie screening of Uttam Kumar’s films would be held at Mitra Cinema on Sept 4. Fans will also get a chance to witness a special photography exhibition featuring exclusive images of Kumar an Big FM’s Facebook Page.
